Arts at Tagore Public School, Tonk. Development of imagination, expression and confidence.

At Tagore Public School we fully stress that education goes far beyond just the academic curriculum. Our school integrates visual and performing arts programs across the imagination of students. Arts are also important for building a well-rounded personality through creativity, expression and confidence. 1. Visual Arts: Visual Learning

The visual arts curriculum we offer to children introduces them to various forms of art and gives them an opportunity to discover new ways to express themselves.

• Drawing and painting - development of fine motor skills and imagination.

• Folk and modern art forms - to connect young minds to the cultural heritage of India.

2. Performing Arts: Gaining confidence on stage

The performing arts program provides all children with the opportunity to perform, move and make music. It includes:

• Music (vocal and instrumental): classical, folk and contemporary.
• Dance - from traditional Indian dances to modern dances.
• Drama and Theatre - building confidence and teamwork as well as oratory.

Practicing their skills at school-level assemblies, annual functions, inter-school events helps students overcome stage fright and develop leadership skills.

3. Why is art given importance in TPS?

Here, the thinking power of children is enhanced so that they can give birth to a new object, new idea, which is not limited to mere usage. With the already existing thinking, finding a new solution to a problem or making a new path, better way of doing something. That is why we give more importance to arts.
